ELEMENT 21 GOLF SET TO INTRODUCE REVOLUTIONARY NEW MATERIAL -
Golf Business Wire ^ | May 19, 2005 | Joe Wieczorek

Gold plated golf set only $15,000.00 and they have sold 4 sets. Did you get yours?

Irvine, CA - The Element 21 Golf Company announced today that they will be introducing a revolutionary new material - Scandium, the 21st Element of the Periodic Table, to members of the golf media at the upcoming Spring ING Conference held at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida May 22nd thru the 26th.

"Titanium may very well go the way of the persimmon driver once the golf industry gets an opportunity to experience the benefits this brand new material has to offer," said Nataliya Hearn, CEO & President of E21 Golf.

Advancements in strength to weight efficiencies have been brought to the U.S. out of Russian aerospace research programs by the Element 21 Golf Company (NASDAQ EGLF.OB) with the introduction of a brand new material, Scandium. The E21 Metal provides the highest Strength-to-Weight Ratio of any material used in golf today with a 36% Strength-to-Weight Advantage over Titanium and a 40% Strength-to-Weight Advantage over Graphite.

Representatives from Element 21 Golf will be on hand for the One-On-One Expo and Demo Lab, Tuesday May 24th for those media members interested in experiencing this exciting new technology first hand.

Element 21 will also be unveiling a 24 kt. Gold Plated Limited Edition set of E21 irons that retail for an amazing $15,000.00 making them the most expensive set of irons in the United States. "We originally made up a set of the 24 kt. Gold irons to demonstrate the value of Scandium vs. other materials currently being used in the golf industry," said Hearn, "but once the word got out we began getting requests for them. I'm not at liberty to discuss the names of the people who have purchased these Limited Edition sets, which total four at this time, but I'm sure they'll make for some interesting conversation on the tee box."

Element 21 Golf's new Scandium E21 Metal Performance SystemTM clubs with SHOCK-BLOKTM Technology are unlike anything else on the market right now.

The club incorporates a Scandium E21 Metal shaft that:

1. Redirects the vibration normally felt in the hands and arms back to the club head (thus giving an extra "energy-kick" to the golf ball and subsequently increasing distance).

2. Maintains a crystal clear signature of the contact between the club head and the golf ball providing the golfer with a "softer feel" and unprecedented control over every shot.

This is the first major advancement in materials in the golf industry in over 20 years. The E21 Metal Performance SystemTM clubs from Element 21 Golf have demonstrated superiority over both graphite and steel in independent testing by producing shots up to 30 yards longer. Engineers at Element 21 Golf attribute this performance improvement not just to the lively head design but also to the highly responsive E21 Metal shaft. In today's market it is very difficult to push the performance of a head since rebound velocities are limited by USGA regulations. The key, therefore, is in the shaft. The shaft design must allow the shaft to recover from the initiation of a swing where the moment of inertia, resisted by the heads weight, imposes a backward bend in the shaft. The shaft must recover just before the club head strikes the ball in order to impose the greatest impact force resulting in the balls' projection and ultimate distance. Element 21 Golf Company has tuned the shaft design for maximum performance through their proprietary E21 Metal System chemistry. Since the alloy is of a homogenous structure and posses extremely fine crystalline grains, the potential resistive energy imposed during a swing is not lost. Such losses are found in graphite/epoxy composite type construction where the epoxy matrix cannot translate the load forces that the graphite fibers resist.

Let me guess, the first four to get the set are Tiger, Veeg, Earnie Els and Lefty.

This reads like a corporate press release designed to increase stock prices. Not exactly news.

Thats just for the irons. Add for 'woods', wedges, putter and any utility club; $24,000 id probably not too far off.

I had a set that literally increased my drives by 75 yards. Unfortunately with my slice, it was 75 yards deeper into the woods! I threw them away and gave up the game.......

i'll take accuracy over distance anyday.
most public courses in the U.S.A. can be easily played with just irons.

i still have to admit that there isn't anything more fun than to crush a 300 yarder right down central,
and the oooohhhs and aaahhhhs from the group are quite
satisfying.

GOLF. Too slow, too time consuming, too expensive. Plus it doesn't provide the level of physical activity one needs to even remotely be considered fit.

BTW, the clubs are MORE accurate than those tested against it.

it is still up to the individual to be able to hit the ball where he intends too.

but........ i use to think equipment was overrated when i was growing up. i learned to play with a pieced together garage sale set. then i played with a good set and it opened my eyes.

i have ping i3s and they are nice.
wouldn't mind hitting one of them there gold sets though
i am curious.
maybe i'll hit saturdays powerball and then have a go at them. :-)
