We have 11 yr. old twin girls who also went to the midnite premiere. Our first midnite showing with them was the last Harry Potter film. They are natural night owls just like their mom, and have had very "adult" sleep habits from the time they were babies - they've never turned into a pile of jello from a temporary lack of sleep.

Our oldest daughter, 15,( the original late night baby) did not want to go - in fact, she was in bed before we left for the theater.

P.S. - we share your view on public ed - to me it's necessary to learn to deal with lots of different types of people - that's the education they receive during the day - the rest is up to us.

Good to hear from a kindred spirit! My daughter loved the movie last night, although she was very sad that Padme had to die. I didn't think our small resort town theater would be sold out, but it was. We had bought our tickets earlier, but when we got there at 11:30PM the whole theater was already full, mostly with high school boys I was surprised to see!
