Arianna Huffington doesn't like being called Judas. Some of the pundit's critics have claimed she betrayed her liberal Hollywood friends by getting them to write for her huffingtonpost.com - never telling them they'd have right-wingers as blogmates.

This somewhat relates to a phenomenon Mr. M and I discussed yesterday, that is, how we are civil, friendly, courteous and respectful to the various liberals in our little college town, but many just can't seem to look past our politics to respond in kind. In other words, our very existence seems to offend them, just like Arianna's lib friends can't even tolerate being on the same blog as those hated Republicans. And they think conservatives are mean-spirited!
