I'll read Novak's column just so I can gloat.

Speaking of gloating, this long but well worth the time speech from a Prof. Gaddis, a historian at Yale will "pump you up." Give it to your liberal friends to read. It'll make their heads explode.

Rush & Molloy report:

Arianna Huffington doesn't like being called Judas. Some of the pundit's critics have claimed she betrayed her liberal Hollywood friends by getting them to write for her huffingtonpost.com - never telling them they'd have right-wingers as blogmates.

But Huffington insists she's still tight with showbiz lefties like Larry David and wife Laurie. "I had dinner with Larry last night," she told us at Robert Kennedy Jr.'s Riverkeeper benefit Tuesday. "They love blogging, and a lot of people recognize that sometimes people will not agree. They need to be understanding of each other." ...

This somewhat relates to a phenomenon Mr. M and I discussed yesterday, that is, how we are civil, friendly, courteous and respectful to the various liberals in our little college town, but many just can't seem to look past our politics to respond in kind. In other words, our very existence seems to offend them, just like Arianna's lib friends can't even tolerate being on the same blog as those hated Republicans. And they think conservatives are mean-spirited!
