Word For The Day, Tuesday, 5/17/05
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
turbid; adj
turbid·ly adv. turbid·ness or tur·bidi·ty n.
1.Having sediment or foreign particles stirred up or suspended; muddy: turbid water.
2. Heavy, dark, or dense, as smoke or fog.
3. In a state of turmoil; muddled
Entymology: [Latin turbidus, disordered, from turba, turmoil, probably from Greek turb.]
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

As the immortal Bard once muttered at a grand estate auction: "Turbid, or not turbid, that is the question..."
nyuck, nyuck, nyuck ; ) A+++
Turbidity
as opaque as my creamed coffee,
swirls about the rationality
of organizing a society
that cannot,
will not
reproduce
and depends upon its enemies
to come hither
and be corrupted
into the likes of them
and replace their dwindling numbers.
Turbidity of thought
to think that this would work.
