I've just come inside from my garden walk about. It appears there was no additional damage overnight (but how could I tell for sure?).
I think the Magnolia will make it. The leaves are dark about halfway back. If the tree can maintain enough leaves for aspiration, I'll be okay. And I think that is the case. I've had the tree since it was a $6.99 bush (26 years). Everything else, except the Redbud Tree, can be back in shape within 3 years.
I am contemplating whether or not I want to mess with Trumpet Lilies again. Each one of them must be staked. It's quite an investment of time for 10 days of splendor.
I'm off to prepare the Kool-Aid. That guy has surely exhausted his supply by now. I certainly don't want him to go thirsty. ;>)
