Great news:

Ron Paul Amendment Stops UN Taxation

In Washington D.C. just today, the US House of Representatives unanimously passed by voice vote, legislation introduced by Congressmen Ron Paul that ensures no American will be forced to pay taxes to the United Nations. Under Paul's amendment to a State Department funding bill, no US taxpayer dollars may be used to develop, implement or impose any tax on American citizens to raise revenue for the UN.

Some said that it couldn't be done, as the push for globalization is running like a freight train on Capitol Hill these days. "The UN continues to build the foundation for a global government and a world wide tax has been part of their key agenda," Paul stated. This is not hyperbole-- in fact, the UN's own website is quite open about their ambitions. The UN has established a system of international laws and international courts; now it needs an enforcement mechanism in the form of an international army. That army would need to be funded, and many UN tax proposals have been made. From a tax on airline tickets, to the Tobin Tax, which would impose a tax on cross border currency transactions, the United States, being the largest consumer in the world would potentially be the largest contributor to the UN army.

Should Americans fund a one world government army? Should we as a nation even participate in the "Evil Empire" that threatens our sovereignty and liberty? HR 1146, is another Paul amendment that will get us out of the UN. It is up for debate and vote tomorrow, June 16, 2005

For those of you who feel that one man can't do much to change the world. Think again. One man sent a strong message to the world today. That message is the American people will not accept any form of UN taxation.
