Well, why don't we use this thread: anyone with specific personal knowledge of a spitting, post it here.
I wonder what happened to all the local news footage from back then? I KNOW things like this were covered, and spitting was at least mentioned.
I lived in the Barf Area at the time, and demonstrations, protests, riots, and all the rest were regular news fare.
What about newspaper archives? People know when they returned, so that gives a time frame to look.
