Hollywood hunk Mark Wahlberg has slammed Eminem, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck for giving a false impression of tough, impoverished childhoods in their music and films.
The Italian Job star has lambasted Damon, his co-star in new movie The Departed, for romanticizing difficult upbringings in Good Will Hunting, his debut film with Affleck.
Wahlberg--who blames his assault conviction 17 years ago on his harsh childhood--has also attacked rapper Eminem for idealizing his difficult formative years in his biopic 8 Mile, in an interview with Details magazine.
The 33-year-old actor complains, "My childhood wasn't like some 8 Mile bulls**t where you go and have a rap-off.
"Or like West Side Story, where you all start dancing and s**t. If I make a film about my upbringing it's going to be about more than a f**king kid doing math, like in Good Will Hunting, you know what I mean?"
Somebody has photoshopped a pic of somebody elses head onto a pic of your body again.
Takes one to know one. I doubt Marky Mark had as many street fights as I did. But now I've got religion and grandkids and he's got big bucks. :-}
Marky Mark, Marky Mark, Marky Mark. So there!
He was good in "The Perfect Storm."
Hehehe well grandbabies will wake up most people :-)
He's quite well-built! What's the old expression? Like a brick ____ with the roof blown off!

LOL, it's a funny thing though, the older I get the more fights I had and the tougher I was. Go figure. :-}
I was forced to assault (and brand) several hundred steers every year in my youth. I'd have rather fought street punks.
Without NKOTB he would be a nobody.
Same as Britney Spear's sister and Jessica Simpson's...
Wahlberg?
I'd wish you luck. He is actually a tough SOB.

Heard that! (no pun intended) I 'worked' cattle for over 35 yrs. Kicked, stomped on, butted w/wo horns, run over a few times. And was stupid enough to ride a bull in a rodeo, just once.
Hey, thanks for the compliment! I'm flattered.
I rode a bull too, for maybe 3 seconds when I was 18. My roommate in my first year of college was a bull rider. Had a Charolais bull catch me unawares and push me through a barn wall too, once. I liked it though, and kind of miss it everytime I'm troubleshooting a fileserver.
Yes Donnie Wahlberg was very good in BoB. He made me forget all about NKOTB. But when I saw Nixon, in BoB, I kept thinking of Office Space.
