Effervescence
This isn’t dandelion wine they hold,
Nor cups of bubbling stuff,
The effervescence comes from youth,
They haven’t had enough.
They’ll use the last of it one day,
A sad one you can bet.
But they won’t count the sands of time,
As running out just yet!
A charming scene, it is to see,
And more are apt to follow,
A few more years for this bright lad,
He’ll have charming beat all hollow!
