Before you make a statement like that, how about doing some reseach into piercing and tattoing guidelines. Oh, and the checks that are made to all premises, and the amount of time these TRAINED people spend learning their trade? Less people get infected in piercing and tattoo parlours than do in hospitals.
Keri,
Welcome to Free Republic!
I'm sure you'll love it here and make a lot of friends.
Which statement do you refer to? You should check the CDC records of Hepatitis C infections traced to tattoo parlors. I am not talking about absolute numbers, but the incidence of infection.
I understand the art methods--I have tattooed 100s of cattle, pigs, and sheep, placed eartags in cattle and nose-rings in pigs. There is nothing new under the sun. People into tattoos and rings of all sorts have simply copied livestock marking methods that have been used for centuries. I am waiting for the removal of fingers, toes, hands and feet to demonstrate some real and original differences.
