I don't see any reason for anyone to leave Free Republic. If there is an activist thread on a topic that you don't agree with, then do what I do, simply not post. I am conservative but there are a few of Jim Rob's ideas that I don't agree with. I just don't go there on this message board.

There are thousands of topics at FR, find one where you are comfortable.

On the activists threads people are usually of like mind and they are posting in order to do something and affect a change. On the activist threads we are not all that interested in "debating" the issue. We have seen what we have seen, and we are joining together posting back and forth in order to effect a change. In other words we don't want to debate the issue we want to act.

Probably people should start threads, seperate threads if they want to debate. This thread was started as an "Call to Action" thread via the very first post which was a request for action. Freepers got enough starting information so that it appears that the story is true. Now the action will take place, with the debates happening on other threads if you want to have them. There has to be one Action Thread, we learned that with Terri Schindler.

But again i dont' think anyone should leave FR, it is too good a place.

I agree. I wonder if some people were leaving anyway and this was an opportunity to leave with a dramatic exit.
