No way in hell would I comply with something like this, even if the consequences were disasterous for me.

Hello, John. If you are who I think you are, how 'bout some words of wisdom here? Only thing I can think of to say is unprintable. Thanks.

I donate to the NRA, the Fifty Caliber Shooters Association and several more pro-gun groups. They carry the message to our legislators, and, for the most part, they do a good job.
BUT.....until the truth is presented to the American people, we will continue to fight this battle, and eventually we will lose all of our Second Amendment rights.
I've never understood why pro-gun groups don't take the message to the American people to refute ridiculous programs like that aired by 60 Minutes.
If we don't educate Americans about .50 caliber weapons and guns in general, we will lose this war.

Damn, these folks must cringe in fear over my cannon and my .69 caliber slug thrower. The only saving grace is for the moment, these are protected at the federal level...

The best argument against these folks is that .75 caliber muskets were the warfare weapon of the day when our founding fathers wrote the document we're supposed to follow.

Oh, you know they'd have been licking the Brits' boots if they were alive back then. They despise freedom and will stop at nothing to take it away from us, no matter how many times we shoot them down.

Thanks for the ping and welcome back! My favorite line:
"The end product of these and other fine-tuning features," VPC says, "is a precision instrument that is more rugged and more accurate than its hunting cousins, and probably exceeds the capabilities of the person who shoots it."
In other words, any gun with features that help the shooter shoot BETTER, is a bad gun...'course any gun to them is a bad gun.

To: Joe Brower
Glad you're back, Joe, I've missed your pings. Hope you refreshed your batteries during your vacation.
Ya know, if these .50 weapons are used so frequently in crimes we should be flush with reports of them. The funny thing is that there just don't seem to be any. Somebody, like the Violence Policy Center, should either "put up or shut up".

Couldn't any rifle with a scope be considered a "sniper" rifle?? I'd love those people to come out here and try to take peoples rifles away...I think they'd have a bad case of lead poisoning...

Read the whole article. They ultimately want to ban ANY rifle that "can kill someone at 100 meters distance". Any decent shooter can easily hit a man sized target at 100 yards.

BTW, this is EXACTLY what I have been saying. Any black rifle immediately becomes an "assault weapon". Any rifle capable of hitting a man sized target at 100 yards is called a "sniper rifle". Your revolver is a "gunslinger's gun". Your Remington 1100 or 870 is a "street sweeper shotgun". And ultimately even black powder and air rifles are "just too dangerous for civilians to be allowed to own".

I'll admit I'm still a beginner at shooting...so maybe I couldn't hit a man sized target at 100 meters without a scope...What part of "it's the person behind the rifle that makes it a "sniper" rifle...why don't these "nannies" just go home and shut up!!!

Somebody, like the Violence Policy Center, should either "put up or shut up". Never happen!
The brady bunch will never answer a question to the public only to the camera where they feel safe and protected and have the opportunity to use the EDIT feature.
I asked the brady bitch several questions years ago in Austin, TX at UT and she just put them off with "You'll have to ask the (x42) administration about that"

These people are worse than Grabboids. At least with a Grabboid you could get Reba and Kevin Bacon to shoot them.
