Chelsea Booze Crisis
The Globe ^ | 11 APR 05 | Jeff Samuels and Leon Wagener

Posted on 04/03/2005 5:05:48 PM PDT by bannie

Chelsea Clinton has fallen off the wagon and is slinging back cocktails and liquor shots with binge-drinking abandon, worried pals tell GLOBE

Friends say Chelsea is hitting the sauce like she did during her party-harty days at Oxford University because she's worried about losing the two most important men in her life--her dad Bill and her boyfriend, Ian Klaus,

"Ian is working as a civilian for the new government in Iraq, and Chelsea knows he could be killed or kidnapped at any time," says a friend.

"Adding to her anxiety is the fact that they parted on a sour note.

"At the same time, she is increasingly alarmed over her dad's failing health."

Pals say chelsea, 25, is haunted by fears that Bill Clinton will die before giving her away at her wedding if she does marry Ian--that is, if Ian doesn't get killed first!

"She's such a wreck," adds the friend, "she can't help but drown her sorrows and fears in booze."

I agree.
Ever since Friday, I've refused to ignore them but instead confront them until they are driven off the thread. If more of us do this, it will work.

"More like plastic surgery."

Yup, that's really what I was thinking. It's too drastic a change. at least she looks good now. It's just when I remember what she looked like in the 90's - well I know it was an "awkward stage" but eeeuuu
[not that that's a BAD thing...]

It's so wonderfull to be an alcoholic Democrat.
Everyone is in denial for you! Everyone covers for you!
Everyone makes exuses for you!

It's hard to prove one way or another, but she sure does look like Teds kid to me. I wonder if the old boys didn't swap wives one night long ago...

HA!HA!HA!

I don't drink, smoke, do drugs--or much of anything else but work and love my grandkids. I'm fortunate to have been raised in a wonderful family in which none of those bad habits were accepted. I quit caffine about two years ago(really bad for your insides!!!).

I'm rather boring, as you've already--obviously--determined!

BUT, THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONCERN FOR THIS OLD GRANNY!!! It's very gracious of you. :)

I love the tabloids!!!

Everyone needs to read some fiction...and even a broken clock is right twice a day.

:)

(Also, it's a great tool in teaching kids to read critically.)

"chelsea, 25, is haunted by fears that Bill Clinton will die before giving her away at her wedding"

It sounds like projection, and this is the fear of whoever wrote this article, IMO.

The whole thing is conjecture! It's all info from "friends" and "supporters." That's how these things get away with saying anything.

As I said, I think this is just a clean-up job regarding Chelsea's trashy behavior. Cite:

"As recently as March 18, Chelsea got so loaded...she had to be helped out of the place by two bouncers and the club owner [tossed out???]--an undignified exit that made the local gossip column.

THAT smells like "Damage Control" to me. Does anyone else remember that the lawyer for the Nat'l Enquirer was the same lawyer for hillary when she was still in office?

bedfellow$....bedfellow$...
