Chelsea Booze Crisis
The Globe ^ | 11 APR 05 | Jeff Samuels and Leon Wagener

Chelsea Clinton has fallen off the wagon and is slinging back cocktails and liquor shots with binge-drinking abandon, worried pals tell GLOBE

Friends say Chelsea is hitting the sauce like she did during her party-harty days at Oxford University because she's worried about losing the two most important men in her life--her dad Bill and her boyfriend, Ian Klaus,

"Ian is working as a civilian for the new government in Iraq, and Chelsea knows he could be killed or kidnapped at any time," says a friend.

"Adding to her anxiety is the fact that they parted on a sour note.

"At the same time, she is increasingly alarmed over her dad's failing health."

Pals say chelsea, 25, is haunted by fears that Bill Clinton will die before giving her away at her wedding if she does marry Ian--that is, if Ian doesn't get killed first!

"She's such a wreck," adds the friend, "she can't help but drown her sorrows and fears in booze."

I'm with you.
The Death Cabal has taken over this forum, and if it doesn't involve spewing hate at other freepers and calling them names, then they aren't interested.

The Nellies need to step off.

If Chelsea were a Bush daughter, the NY Times would be doing to her what is being done here...
I think the point is that we should be above that. We mourn the loss of John Paul II, and then the next day turn and bash a girl because she's Bill's and Hillary's daughter? Hey, WWJD?

Cry me a river. He just probably picked up 20 years minimum if he watches his diet and takes his meds.

"Chelsea is a troubled, scared soul right now, and her way of making it go away is by tossing down the cocktails," one of her Manhattan party pals tells GLOBE.

As recently as March 18, Chelsea got so loaded at the Big Apple hotspot Marquee, she had to be helped out of the place by two bouncers and the club owner--an undignified exit that made the local gossip column.

This all struck me as a purchased advertisement: Mop up on Aisle 5!

There are those of us who aren't communing with the grieving.
We'd rather laugh and enjoy ourselves.
Leave it alone.

Leave it alone.
Just as soon as what you say matters, I'll be sure to pay attention. Until then, MYOB. Buh-bye.

There are Americans of all kinds working in and supporting the efforts of our country

That's true, that was not what I meant. I applaude anyone willing to work for that effort, what ever party they belong to. Most liberals don't support the effort, however, I'm sure there are many civilians who are liberal and working there because that's where the paycheck is. It's just that someone so involved with that family, it just really surprises me that he would be working there of all places.

Chelsea has earned her stripes.

You go ahead and be a better person than I am: BTW, Jesus might not be criticizing us for criticizing.(Now, there's an arguement worth having!!)

Perhaps another Bill will be an influence in her life, not now , perhaps later.

I guess that means that any guy with an ounce of intelligence or integrity won't be tying the knot with Webb's daughter. :-)

:) Thanks...I do get tired of being POLICED by those who have elected themselves as Keepers of Selection on here.

I don't go into most of the threads anymore.

Time to take the place back? (WITHIN JIM'S LIMITS, OF COURSE!!)

She was also reported to have wrecked her new broom after a heavy night of booze and burgers in a salute to the Old Man.
