Have you heard Chrissy Matthews apologize for misleading his viewers by continually asserting that Cheney went to the CIA almost daily to brow beat the analysts into giving him the intelligence he wanted?
I know there hasn't been any other news since the Pope passed but perhaps I missed it. It would be in keeping with the lefties MO to slip a "oh, btw, we got the story on Cheney threatening the CIA into compliance wrong..." between coverage of the Pope.
But "the Commission found no evidence of political pressure" to alter intelligence findings. "Analysts universally asserted that in no instance did political pressure cause them to skew or alter their analytical judgments," the panelists unanimously say.
These conclusions are all terribly inconvenient to those antiwar critics who are still promoting the Dick-Cheney-as-Rasputin fable of Iraq. Link
