You really have your head up your a$$, don't you?
If GWB isn't going to be fundamentally different than a liberal then I'd rather just have a liberal in office who won't pretend to be a conservative. Saying that I'm unremittably disappointed with a man (GWB) who is supposed to be conservative is just too much.
As far as Terri Schiavo is concerned there is no difference between the Democrats or the Republicans because she will be dead even though the so-called 'Pro-life' GOP runs Florida, Congress, and the White House.
If GWB doesn't have the balls to tell the courts to go pound sand then what happens when he has to face a REAL enemy like China?
Don't you think the world is looking at the Schiavo case and laughing at how impotent Bush is as President?
The death of Terri Schiavo has cost the GOP the next election in 2006. The Dems will pick up seats in the states and in the Congress because people with morals and conscience know the GOP to be spineless pussies when it comes to staring down the judiciary on the matters that matter the most.
As I said, I'd rather have a liberal in office if it won't matter what decisions are being made because it won't bother me as much to see a liberal doing this kind of thing.
Having a supposed pro-life conservative effectively acting no different than a pro-death liberal is just the penultimate dissapointment.
Here's what passes for debate on these threads.
If GWB doesn't have the balls to tell the courts to go pound sand then what happens when he has to face a REAL enemy like China?
He's also longing for a dictator. IOW, he wants us to adopt the Chinese governing model, whom he hates.
Where are you loonies coming from?
So it doesn't matter to you that, say, the next two Supreme Court justices are going to be nominated by Bush rather than Kerry? I thank God for it. Bush isn't as conservative as I'd like on some issues, but he's a darn sight more conservative than Kerry.
Conservative politicians are human -- they fail and disappoint us. They'll always view some issues differently from the way we view them. And so we pay them back for that by standing on the sidelines, or voting third party, thus enabling more Democrats to gain office. That's called shooting yourself in the foot.
The way to get more conservatives in office is to work from an ever-more-conservative foundation. And you build that by voting in conservatives, even those you disagree with on some issues, rather than getting miffed and allowing Democrats to increase their power.
I contend you are either a disruptor or dimmer than a burned out lightbulb.
You've got the tense wrong, she ain't died yet. If anything has cost the GOP in '6 is their bogus intervention in the judicial system. For you to attempt to make hay in the sunshine of your Bush hate merely identifies you. Retreat to DU, infiltrator.
