Full disclosure: I'm of the group that believes Jeb Bush essentially caved until political pressure here. He held a news conference to essentially say, I can go in and get her, then didn't. There have been plenty of legal types quoted who have said that yes, he does in fact, have the authority to act to remove Terri.

I'm not trying to start an argument, but for the ones who keep saying "he tried, he's done all he can, he's done more than most", etc. Exactly what has he done? I'm not being flippant, I just really don't see what he did, as governor, to prevent Terri's fate. What did he do over and above what her lawyers could have done w/o him?

For starters he signed Terri's law about two years ago. That caused the second trial. Lawyers can't sign laws.

J.Bush is not a johnny come lately to this situation.
