I truly hate to say this...because so many of us are thinking it...

But if Terry dies on Jeb's watch, his career will take a turn for the worse. He has the opportunity to do something really good, and kick the left smack in the teeth. But, if he doesn't capitalize on this, and she dies, he'll be washed up afterwards. It might take a little time to come around, but this is what will happen.
