Schindlers accuse Jeb of torture
Fox News Shawn Hannity | 25 March 2005 | James F. Rowland

Posted on 03/25/2005 6:27:16 PM PST by steampower

The parents of Terri Schiavo/Schindler just made an impassioned appeal to Florida Governor Jeb Bush to save their dying daughter. Mrs. Schiavo was obviously tired and spoke in a restrained manner, but her husband, Robert, although looking terribly fatigued, used very strong language and placed much of the blame for his daughter's seven days of "torture" directly on Jeb Bush, blaming him for the inaction that is letting Terri be murdered by a "tyrannical" judiciary.

Mr.Schindler says that the Governor has the power to end their ordeal with a "stroke of the pen" and if he had courage he would do it.

Facts and Truth mean nothing to you then; You obviously did not read my post. What is claimed by Matthews in NOT by any stretch in the complaint. It ain't even debatable.

Sorry, absolutution can only be granted face to face. I encourage you to seek it though.

Thanks for straightening this out. I figured it was a mischaracterization, but didn't know where it came from.

Not torture...stupidity. To get on TV and announce that he had the authority to put Terri in the custody of the Children and Family Protective Service, enabling crazy Greer prempt the move with an injunction, was stupid. The other possibility is that he knew there would be such an order so he wouldn't have to do anything, and that would be worse.

I would never flame Tetzel the Great, heir apparent to the throne.

Ah. Let's not forget verity's foremost rule of argument: "Pointing out a spelling mistake makes me right!"

I do not argue with the arrogant; I merely ridicule them.

Jeb Bush is Pontius Pilate. George W. Bush is Caesar.

Soon we will say, "Theresa Marie of Florida, pray for us."

I would think you'd find ridiculing yourself extremely tedious.

There is no such thing as a "lay deacon".

Yeah, yeah, yeah, you say tomato and I say "spawn of hell". Oh, sorry, uncharitable of me. Whatever you may call yourself, I will just call you Brother Goofus. And I think that it is fair to say that I have as much respect for your office as I do for lay ministers, which is to say none.

Permanent Deaconite. We did fine without it for 1900 some odd years...it looks to me like we could do with out it for another 2000 or so.

But hey, that's just me. I don't have a "vested" interest in the crazy scheme. But it seems to me the only thing it provides is a pulpit to theological illiterate, morally obtuse, pompous grandstanders. Alas, I weep for the Church.

I got a feeling all your caterwauling about Tom Delay is just guilt projection.

What does this mean? I must have lost the thread of the argument. But then I don't know why I would be arguing with some one who would say something like this.

As opposed to you, Mr. Theology?

Yes, Mr. Theology, will do. Of course I expect that you will speak my name with the requisite obsequiousness due my title from hence forward, deacon.

Good points.

One burning question that came up in conversation with my sister (an RN) this weekend was, how did she get accepted to "hospice" in the first place?

I understand there are certain criteria to be in it...is it not a State regulated issue?

My understanding is that one goes there to die, not live, especially as long as she has.
