The subpoena would trump the state court judge, that much is for certain.

The whole bit with the subpoenas lends one to the conclusion this was nothing more than grandstanding. Why did they go to the judge and ask him to enforce them? Simply have federal marshals (quite legally) wheel her out for the hearing. My take is the subpoenas should never been issued in the first place... but since they DID issue them, don't be half-assed about enforcing them. This only increases the cynicism and bitter feelings on the part of Terri's parents, and their supporters.
