Howlin didn't want to answer Ann Archy's question -- begging out because it was about the Nazi's. I can undertsand that -- it's an overused and overladen motif. A discussion killer.

Yet a similar genocide took place in Rwanda during Clinton's term (he choose not to get involved and took steps to spin the news from there to downplay the horrors).

The government was all people from the Hutu tribe. They used propaganda -- radio mostly -- to inflame the local police and militias against the Tutu tribe. Local civil authority and militias hunted down and slaughtered all Tutus. At least half a million. Hard to know the exact count. Maybe over a million.

There's a good movie (so I have heard) about those horrible days -- The Hotel Rwanda. IIRC, it won an academy award last month.

O t'would think Howlin could answer that framing of Ann Archy's question.

And more ... there is a genocide about to happen here in the US. That is, I suspect, what all this Florida horror of legalized Murder by Judicial fiat is all about. Who will be killed? The class of humans now occupying about a million beds in hospitals and hospices nationwide. A bed count whose profit margin has dipped into the red.

What is Felos about? Where the juice to feed the beloved husband and concubone for life? Cost efficient operation! Cost efficiencies!

bvw, I appreciate your thoughful post. Please forgive me. I just didn't know where you were coming from, and given the Nazi thing, even though I haven't been aroung FR all that long, I could see that possibly it might be a source of incitement. In my response to you asking if you were being facetious, I was doing so with regards to respect and admiration that I and so many have of Howlin. And lately with so much emotion and friction between all of us, I got my dander up in protection of what I mistakenly saw as another pile on. I am sorry.

And I haven't seen Hotel Rwanda, although my college aged son, who is very thoughtful and insightful (mother's pride here,) saw it and thought it was masterful. I will see it on DVD when both of my children come home.

And I'll just make one mor comment on your post, regarding Felos, and that being that I think that something smells in the state of South Sand Land.
