He's chewing ok and eating faster now though. His neck isn't stiff. He just doesn't want to drop his head. Well actually he will but then picks it back up. If it had been while he was so acute I would really be concerned but I'm thinking he may just be a little stuffed up. I'm gonna run it by my vet anyway.

Did the vet give him a shot in the neck? Even so, I wouldn't think after this many days, that it would still be sore. Glad to hear he is eating and feeling better.

You couldn't give my gelding shots in the neck. He always ended up being so sore, that he could hardly put his head down.

They do have limph nodes both at the throatlatch under the jowls and down in their chest that can get inflamed and may cause neck stiffness if he's been fighting something like he has.

Did he have a shot in the neck during all this?
