When we went to give Okie his medicine tonight there was a baby loose , running thru the barn. Eddie was at the other end and told me to catch him. He had a halter and lead rope on. I'm used to big horses and I was kind of scared of him. I didn't know if he would go nuts and start kicking and jumping but he stood still. I put him in a stall and took his leadrope off but he wouldn't let me mess with his halter. I called the owner and she said he always wears it. Cute little thing but like I said, I didn't know if I was going to have a tiger by the tail or not:')

Babies are usually pretty manageable. They're used to being told what to do by their Mom. I'm glad you caught him before there was an accident. IMHO, They shouldn't leave a halter on him all the time and ESPECIALLY not a lead rope. Too much chance of him breaking his little neck.

:) I think all my horse related injuries have come from babies. You're right, you never know how much they know or don't know if it's not one of yours.
