Just got the lights back. THe storm slammed thru here around 5. I got up and put Cindy in and the cat ran out. The wind was howling and lightening popping and he wouldn't come to me and I wasn't going to chase him. As soon as the ran started he came running though. I was hoping the lights would go out so the new street light that shines behind my house would go dark so I could watch the show but it didn't happen until daybreak and just raining. Go figure. How did yall do?
the storm didnt arrive last night, we are told we should have one today. Glad you are ok.
I have recently remodelled our chicken house to give them more protection and we were given some more young hens yesterday. We put them in and shut the house for the night. Tight.
Unfortuatly now we have a red fox that is persistent in killing our chickens. He pulled the chicken wire away from the frame on the house and got in, killing 5 of my new chicks. Only one left.
We are sadly going to have to do something drastc, like get a trap.
We know it is not the pit bull as he has been kept on a double chain ever since i tried to shoot him and they heard the shot! I have also seen this fox.
BTW I love to watch storms too! So do all my kids!~
