LOL...that's as bad as forgetting the horse:)
I saw your first post about the evil donkey. I've been wondering what the evil donkey did:)? Was he loose?

Here in Texas people often put a donkey in with sheep or goats. They are as good as a watchdog. They adopt the sheep/goats/kids and protect them against dogs, coyotes and other predators.
Or anything that happens to come along.
We were riding past the fence when the Evil Donkey charged full steam out of the cedar, ears flat, teeth showing, white around the eyes, heehawing with the most incredible noise, stopped at the fence, of course. Melody went bananas.
I hadn't ridden here for a long time so she was very fresh anyway.
She had such a fit --- rearing, running backwards, etc. that I got off her to try to handle her from the ground.
She charged me and knocked me down and ran over me and proceeded to run home.
Now the first whisper of noise from the cedars prompts her to try to do the same thing. It's FUN to get rid of your rider and run home!
We have been working on that.
Melody shares a pasture with a donkey; in fact, my donkey Billy Bray is the Son Of The Evil Donkey, who is actually very sweet, named Sarah (when she's not protecting her goats and kids).
But Melody is still convinced that throwing a fit at the first sight of the Evil Donkey means she gets to dash home full speed. It's taking a while.
Well, I forgot all about the Preakness today.
I got the live thread up, because I like to do that, but I may miss the race ;~D
