Well I'm grateful to him but I'll stick with hugging Okie. The vet gets a handshake and 71 dollars. You know what he told me though? He said if I couldn't keep Okies temp down with wetting him down, that he didn't want me doing it too much caz it would mess up his lining but to put an ice cube in his rectum. You ever heard of that? I don't find it in my books. I guess if you have an animal about to die or convulse from a high temp it could be a last ditch effort but...

Wow - I've never heard of the ice cube treatment. Yeh, I'd use that only as a last ditch effort I think. Seems like a horse would have to be awfully sick to stand for that.
