Good Morning... I was reading JustAppaloosas web site today, and came across a horse that was an "F-4". Is that something new for foundation breeding? That is my guess anyhow. They said he was Toby K & Ulrich bred, which would be foundation bloodlines. Ever heard of that before?

I called on this gelding but he is sold... :(

I think that it is saying he has four generations of foundation breeding. There is such a big fight right now in the ApHC over foundation breeding, foundation horses, appXapp breeding - who is closest to purebred, etc.

:) In the fighting, everyone is ignoring the fact that genectists (sic) have determined that the original (?) or old appaloosas are Spanish Mustang breeding with a little dna from Germany and Russia. Their dna points to Iberian horses (Spain/Portugal) which is what the Spanish Mustang is derived from.
