Good morning Becky. I have all the children at home today with sore throats. No fevers for Emma and Jacob as yet, although Tommy has had one (it broke last night).
I am not too worried about them missing school right now, they have only 2 weeks left and they are both bored crazy as it seems the teachers are using it to enable the slower kids or those that have been off ill, to catch up. Emma read 3 books at school last week, so that gives you some idea!
We have just printed out the "Intent to homeschool" form and will be taking that by later on today.
We are going to order all the materials very soon, but are going to let the kids take the test again first.
How is Belle? Any changes?
Well good grief, you've got sick ones, too??? Must be something going around, there have been quite a few sick kids at school, as well.
Sorry they are sick. JP has had what sounds like the same thing, snotty noses, sneezing, but no fever so far. I'm wondering if I may be coming down with it. Scratchy throat:(
That was one of the major gripes I had about the school system, they waste so much of our childrens times, and there just isn't that much time in childhood to let it be wasted. Not that reading a book is a waste, but in the context Emma was reading, it is, IMO.
My children were almost always done with school work by 11:00 in the morning, and probalby learned twice as much in the few hours a day they did school work then they would have in 6 hours in the school system.
