She did put a brace on it and is using crutches. This RN said the same thing you did, it would be better for it to be muscles then legimates. I guess if she got it exrayed they could tell??? We are just not all that big on doctores:)

She's such a little bitty thing. Probably 105 soaking wet. It wouldn't take much to knock her down.

They can't see either in x-rays, both are soft tissue injuries unless she dislocated it.

I'm not big on doctors either, it takes a major incapacitation to get me to one, but I might go in this case, both because the knee is an important thing, and because they may help it heal ~faster~.

Or maybe not. I just know that sometimes when you wrench knees, you mess up the cartilages that hold the knee together and it's never really right again without orthoscopic surgery to clean it out. I hope that's not the case.

If it were me, I'd wrap it tight, just to keep too much fluid and swelling from collecting there. And lots of anti-inflammatories... Bute her ;~D

I don't know, I'd go to a doctor just to make sure that there isn't major damage, especially if you said that the knee is all black. That way, she won't do anymore damage that would prevent you from going on the ride... and trust me, I know how you feel, I hate doctors too.
