The best way to explain it would be to use "ankle". At the back of her leg, above her ankle, put your thumb and forefinger lightly just above where the ankle starts to widen. Your fingers will be on either side, about an inch and a half to two inches apart. Lightly, run them down until you feel a gentle pulsing. Don't feel it, try again. If the horse is fixing to founder it won't be difficult to feel. On some horses you can even see it. If I can get outside for longer than a few minutes, I'll take my digital camera with me and and take pictures of how it's done. 2 of my kids are sick today, one has a temp that's flirting with 105 and one is 100.

Sorry to hear about your kids and on Mother's day too:'(. Have you called the doc about the one with high fever? Don't worry about the pics. She's ok. I was just wondering. Another time fine.
