Now that we're riding a little more frequently, I'm rapidly getting tired of adjusting headstalls. I'm about to buy at least one more so we can have one for each horse. Here is what I'm looking at at Jeffers:

I don't like those cheap bits, Sharn. The headstalls are fine but I'd get better bits to go with them.

Those look good. The description says "nickel plated hardware". I'd ask them nickel plated
WHAT before I ordered it. Nickel plated brass is good. Nickel plated steel is not. The plating will eventually come off and with all the sweat salts, it'll rust. :o(
I like this one because it says it has solid brass hardware:

I have a nylon one like this and I love it. You can take the bit out and still have a good halter to tie with out on the trail. They're not showy, but they're functional.
