My condolences. I've never seen growth like Miami to Jupiter. I'm doing some consultant work for FPL out of their Juno Beach office and we travel down to the Turkey Point plant (near Homestead) about once a month and the rapid development is amazing.
One month, an open field, the next month foundations, month after that houses and streets, and then a month later cars, kids, landscaping, stores and schools. I've never seen nothing like it. Where the hell are all these people coming from?
Isn't it horrible!!??
They are coming from everywhere.
Central and South America, Cuba, Europe and the lovely Northern liberal "save the planet, but pave MY neighborhood" crowd who have decided to spread their urban sprawl down here.
I told my mom last night that the happiest day of my life will be the day I see Miami for the last time out of my rearview mirror.
From Ohio and north. In the last six months I must know 15 people who have bought houses or condos in Fla. One guy bought a penthouse in Marco before it was done (I did the loan at my bank)for 3.2 mil and sold it in two months for 5 mil. It's insane. People are making 40-50% on these houses.
I would invest there but I can't help but think the bubble has to burst soon.
