A little off topic but I thought about something I wanted to tell yall yesterday when I saw the hoof posts. SL isn't all there. I really hope she perks up mentally after this over. Have you ever tied a horse to a fence post and see them hit it? She did. I untied her and started to lead her off. Done it 100's of times and she dropped her head and knocked herself silly. It was like she diddn't see it and then when she was on the wash rack she was half standing on a oiece of concrete. Normally she would step and balance on stable ground. She was just standing there with half her foot not touching anything with the weight on the outside. I had to make her step back. This one worrying me (as you can probably tell)
I think she'll be fine when this is over and she's well again. She's just sick and miserable right now and probably not paying attention.
She's just sick and not paying attention to anything but her own misery - I've been there, and bonking your head when you already feel bad is even more maddening, isn't it?
As for standing only half-on something, it really makes me uneasy when they do that loading or unloading in the trailer, stepping or standing there with only a tippy toe on the deck. They slip off, they're gonna skin their shins. So maybe it's the ouchies you can see coming that make you shudder.
OK maybe they're both bad ;~D.
Poor ol' SaraLee. She must really feel awful. It must be like having a really bad case of the flu. You hurt all over, can't breathe and it's a major ordeal just to get from point A to point B. I'm sure she'll get over it, but it may take her a while to get back to her old self.
