Tuffy: How is Winnie doing? Good luck ponying her. I rode today, and worked with the black mare. She was surprisingly good, and I had a really good ride. No spooks, no starts, no goofy stunts. Had a run in with the alpha horse in the back 40 today, though. He wouldn't let us out of the gate and I almost got myself kicked and my arm torn off trying to hold on to my horse and chase the other one away.
She's doing great, the only way you can tell that she's had a problem is her leg is shaved where the surgery was done.
Wow. You are getting a lot of riding time in lately. Doesn't that just irritate you when the gatekeepers don't want to get out of the way? I don't know what I'm going to do about riding. I understand the medical need but it isn't good for me or the horse to be off too long.
