Maybe the placenta was the thing on the right half then. The right half was actually like a bag or balloon and it was very thick and plush-looking on the inside and all the big veins were mostly on that half. That red area in the lower part of it was actually a hole and the red is the inside that you're seeing through the hole. Am I making any sense?

Sounds like maybe you got them both. ROS has a pic here somewhere of one of hers still in the membrane.
Speeking of deliveries, I have a new granddaughter. I'm watching the oldest and was planning on leaving when she was about a 7-8. She went from 5 to 10 to "'here I am "in about 30 minutes.
The thing on the left is the bag the foal was in, the thing on the right is the placenta.
The thing in their mouth keeps fluid from being swallowed. You're suppose to throw it up on the roof of your barn for good luck:)
