Here are pics from setting up camp out there... we've got to go back out and build a fire and actually ~camp~ (get away from computer) but I thought these were funny. Cyn is a really funny horse, unlike any I've had before.
Wheeled our stuff into the campsite and found horses there... Cyn comes to check out the scary wheelbarrow...

...and immediately starts pulling stuff out.

I set up the chair, which was interesting to her...

And I lay out the tarp flat on the ground that will go under the tent...

Which she paws into a rumple...

I finally got the tent set up, and had to bring her back with me to post these, locking her out of there or I'm sure she'd destroy it while we were gone :~D

See you all later, we're signing off... hope you thought these were funny and that there aren't too many!

LOL - So, you going to lock Cyn in the barn or did you make room for her in the tent?

Cute Pix - we have a couple who must investigate everything. We're on foal watch tonight. This one will be the first of three we're expecting this year.
Pix to follow...

Good pictures.
I'd sure like to see some of the pictures you took of Cyn when you first got her, next to that one of her looking at the chairs. She has really put on some weight, it seems. She looks good.

She's worse than a cat that tries to "help"! She looks good too. She's filled out a lot since we saw the first pictures of her.

LOL...more pictures. LOVE 'EM!!!
That one of Cyn at the tent, reminds me of Jake.
The kids pitched tents last year in the horses' field. Of COURSE, Jake had to inspect those new things that 'grew up' in his domain. LOL.
When the girls were inside, he plastered his head against the side, like he was trying to see through the tent. It caused the girls to giggle up a storm. THAT caused Jakie to grab hold of a side seam, and he promptly started shaking it up, down and sideways. It looked as if he was trying to shake them out of the tent!!!
It was hysterical to watch! Horses.(and donkeys) They sure DO bless one's heart, don't they?

The pictures were great. I commend the way that your horses consider themselves as your fellow campers. A good example of natural horsemanship.

I loved the camp pictures, and no, there's not too many, never too many.
Oh yeah, we've got a new filly this morning! My MIL called me about 7am and said she called them to come eat and nobody came so she went to check and saw then both standing around in the end of the chicken house which serves as the barn.
She's nursed and passed her miconium. I've sprayed her navel and given her some pro-biotics. I found the placenta and it appeared to be whole. I went ahead and gave Truly a shot of occytocin, just to be sure she cleaned out good. It cramped her pretty bad for about 30 minutes but she's fine now and Mama and baby are out in the pasture enjoying the sunshine.
I'm not sure what her name will be yet, but she sure is a pretty little thing. She's black with a frosty underside right now, but I think she'll be roan. It's funny, but the most consistent marker for it seems to be reddish hair inside their little ears and she has that. I'll post pictures later. I'll have to to into the office to do it.
I'm fixing to get in the shower right now. I've got mud, manure and God knows what else all over me. Talk to y'all later! :o)
