Are they going in to avoid flies because there's fewer in there? If he'd like being in, I would probably put him in there... Course... he's got the "Off" on now, has he got flies?
Yeah they get less flies bothering them in the barn. I only spray their heads and neck with spray, I figure they can take care of the ones on their rumps and underside with their tails. (I guess I'm cheap:).
I use to lock all the horses in years ago in the summer when the flies were bad. Now that I've turned it into free choice, I feel bad locking one in. But the others all stood in their stalls all day even tho they could have gotten out and grazed.
I guess I'll put him in there and see how he fares. I have a feeling tho Rusty will wonder over there and pester him:). The lock up stall is in the run I keep Rusty in, but he has a free choice one.

I put him in. And I was right:), Rusty is over there picking at him. I'll give them some time to adjust. Tonight I can let him out in the back pasture to make up for being locked up all day.
