We now use the maternity ward for a dog run for the bassets. They love it! It adjoins their kennel runs, so we just needed to extend the fencing and make a gate. Worked out great! I love to watch the bassets run, those big ears make it look like they are about to take off! : D
Right now there is a double pen in the barn for foaling.
