I'm bringing her home this morning. I'm going to try to get in-between all the race traffic. Texas Motors Speedway opening day is today and I have to go past it to get to the vet clinic. Lone Star Park, the horseracing track where the vet clinic is located, had it's opening day of thoroughbred racing yesterday.

The vet said to change the bandage every other day and watch for weeping. Don't want the incisions getting infected, I suppose. Other than that, he said 2 weeks stall rest, 2 weeks handwalking only then 2 weeks of paddock turnout. After that, back to riding.

Oh boy, good luck with the traffic. Maybe, early won't be too bad. Knoxville, Tenn was a real mess because of the race in Bristol a hundred miles away. It was a real challenge finding a room.

I take it, you were not there for the procedure then? Hope it all comes out ok, and she is better.
