I've used cinder blocks with 4x4s or landscape timbers through the holes for jumps before. Not nearly as versatile as the "X"s, but pretty quick in a pinch.

Well, Homer is home and is a little drunk and a lot lost. I can't bear to muscle him into a treatment tonight, he's too sad and tired. I hope he had enough to hold him over till tomorrow.

It wasn't mites.... but a yeast infection in his ears.
