Poor ol' Homer, sore ears are REALLY painful. A local vet almost got her face ripped off working of a St. Bernard who had ear troubles, back last summer. The dog literally tore the skin off her whole chin. It was just a hanging flap down on her neck. Homer's still fairly new to you guys, so you really don't know how he'll react if you hurt him. Just be careful. Good luck!
I got Bob back home yesterday and he seems to be doing fine. He seemed a little subdued, and of course Blade had to chase him around the pasture for a few minutes and have a little wrestling match but they settled down fine after that. I'm glad I finally went ahead and got it over with.
It's storming like all get out here this morning. We're getting the storms that were in Oklahoma yesterday. It's not supposed to get bad though, just lots of rain, thunder and lightening.
We've got another beautiful shorts and t-shirt day. Its 75 out there with a slight warm breeze. The boys are outside playing hard and loving it. The dogs are chasing the boys and the foals are sleeping.
Deaconjim is almost through getting my swing up! It's going to be great to sit out there in the mornings and evenings with a coffee. : )
I'm back from droppin' off Homer at the vet.
I said "I think he has yeasty ears... and he's horrible about it. I think you're gonna have to sedate him." They didn't even look, they just took my word for it and said they'd call when he woke up.
Poor guy.... The mournful looks he gave me...
