This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

He'll appreciate the company even if he's not up to playing, she'll just have to be patient. :) I just love the pictures by the way.
He's snorin' now... poor guy. I hate to make him drunk all day just to get a few drops in, but I don't see any other choice, unless his attitude about it improves.
I went to see the baby. She is very pretty. I can't wait for you to see her tail. I'm just wondering if it will stay the way it looks now. It has the prettiest waves in it, and the outer edge is white, with sorrel color down the middle. I made her take a picture of her tail to show you. They have taken pictures but are very busy trying to get their house ready to move into today or tomorrow, plus CS, babysits a kid a few hours in the afternoon, It may be this evening before she gets the pictures up.

I thought she was very pretty. She was nursing good, and has pooped, so she is doing everything she needs to.
CS has a little Boston Terrier that was hilairous to watch. He wanted to play with the foal so bad. Jumping up as high as her face, sniffing noses with her. licking her all over when she was laying down. It was so cute to watch.

How's your camera situation?
We haven't made it to a camera shop yet. Worse comes to worse, my kids all have digital cameras.
We checked out batteries for it. The battery was $57. We may just buy a new camera. I really don't want to. but we didn't even get 2 years out of the one we had, so it might be more worth while to just get a different one.
I'm hoping Sat. to remember:) to take it with us when we go to town, and maybe find a place to look at it. I just don't think it's the battery, really.

It would be a waste to spend money on a battery before you know sure that's it.
The newer cameras are so much better and fit in a pocket. I can see your point about just getting a new one regardless.
I just made a few phone calls and found a place that will look at my camera, they said it sounded like the battery and they can check it and see. If not they work on camera's and we will at least know if it's worth fixing or not.
