I agree about Kelly. The thing about Kelly is that she has a distinct style. You know it's her. Whereas if you heard Carrie singing on the radio, you could think of 20 women country singers who could be singing. I'm almost embarrassed to say this, since I'm 46 years old, but I just sent away for Kelly's CD!!!!!
Don't be. It's an excellent album from first to last. She co-wrote half of the songs. She has a live (either a cappella, or very little accompaniment) version of Because of You that I wish was also on the album. I heard it on Napster. Only Beautiful Disaster is live like that on the album. It's a rock album, though, if you don't like rock music. Breakaway is out of place on it, actually.

Don't be embarrassed. It's a great CD, and you're entitled to enjoy music as much at 46 (or any age) as you were as a teenager. Besides, Kelly's songs are doing well on several Billboard charts, including Adult Contemporary. So you certainly are not alone in the department of adults enjoying her music.
