I think Clay was part of the "last chance" group, consisting of eliminated singers that didn't really deserve to be eliminated.

I haven't looked at all the posts (the element of surprise and all that), are you guys talking about who got voted off? I was following along with the earlier part of the thread (when you didn't know yet).

I think they called them "wildcards".

Each judge got to pick one singer who was previously rejected.

I thought that Simon picked Clay, but according to this thread, he didn't like him.

Anybody know which judge picked whom?
