Anwar is your #1??? He's consistently bland. Carrie was the best, IMO.

This week, yes. I thought he sang the song well, and essentially wins the week by default as everyone else had some problems here and there. I love (well, lust after, to be honest) Carrie (can she bring Vonzelle along, too?), but she didn't do a convincing job on that song.

I grudgingly agree. But she only did what the judges told her to do--"leave her comfort zone", "sing a different type of song". So Carrie sang a rock song instead of a country song, and for this the judges criticized her. What do they want?

I agree with you that Anwar has the "best" male voice in the group. He's a music teacher so he's well trained and uses good vocal control.

The problem I have with Anwar is that I'm not sure if he was "checking out" Vonzell or Scott when they were in the bottom 3 together last week.

I still liked Carrie's Benatar number. We do that song in my band and my singer does it much better, but Carrie had to take a 5 minute song and chop it up into a minute and a half. Plus, she has a cold. I could hear it in her voice last night. I think that cost her some points, but not much.
She's a trooper!
