Carrie came out with a bang! What a powerful voice. I thought she was fantastic. Nobody in this competition can compare to her vocally.
I don't know why they keep ragging on the stage presence thing. After all, aren't these supposed to be amateurs trying to get their big break? The stage presence will come.
Jonny and I both agree. We've discussed this before. Stage craft can be learned, but talent like that is born in a person. I hope Carrie wins, and the only thing I would worry about for her long-term success is that the AI people might try to push her into being a pop tart instead of the natural country star she could become.
Exactly right. Carrie already has the essentials: great voice, great looks, and a great personality. Everything else is secondary.
Carrie best was when she sang that Heart song, "Alone."
But I really liked her Benatar tonight.
I think the judges know she's getting a lot of votes so they are "harder" on her because if it.
BTW...if any of you want a good laugh, go rent the Journey in Concert and videos DVD with the 'mixed years.'
Randy Jackson was the bass player in the late 80's and he was about 50 - 100 pounds heavier. That's not the funny part.....you won't believe that he's wearing spandex!!
Ouch!!
