Oopsie! Wooks wike someone got the source code for Office Pwogwams!

Interesting software; do you use it?

No, it's not at all related to Office's source code. It was started by Sun as their answer to Office. It's now an open source project written and maintained by a volunteers.

I use it at home on my Linux box. I've also used it here at work to rescue corrupted Office files. (I've seen it open .doc files when Word refuses to.) It also has a built in distiller for generating .pdf files so sending legible documents to others is easy. This is a nice feature since the other person need not risk getting a worm through opening a contaminated Office document. (And to the best of my knowledge, there are no OO worms.) It also saves documents in Office's file formats so that you can easily collaborate with others.

You can't beat the price either!
