GOOD MORNING!! Yippee! It's FRIDAY! Wish I was going to the BEACH!

I'm so glad you had a good time at the pub, Rosie! But why so little tips? Do you have a sign that says "We gladly accept tips?" Musicians in Austin did that. We always forgot till we saw the sign! LOL

Hey, you ever thought about busking? Musicians did that too, in Austin. On Sixth street, which is the main entertainment district, i guess. I always thought they were incredibly cool and wished I could do something along those lines...they made good money too. I was always happy to pay them because I enjoyed it so much.

They'd just set up a little seat and put their instrument case out with a note about tipping of course and play away. I always enjoyed sitting and listening to that more than going to the clubs!

We're not really playing for tips - it's not a performance, it's just playin' for fun. People have given tips the last few times, though we didn't ask for 'em. And considering we each got six dollars out of things this time...we actually got quite a bit. There were quite a few of us. Plus they didn't let us pay for the food we shared and our drinks!

Busking is something that varies from place to place. There are actually places where you have to have a permit (!!) to perform in public, which I think is a bit silly, though it does tend to mean buskers are actually talented...I've been places where there are people who obviously have problems and are just banging away at a note or two - not actually making music.
