Well, like I say, I'd not be giving it up at all if it didn't keep me from absorbing iron. Phooey on it being addicting...it's one addiction I would gladly continue if I could! Once I stop having this anemia (after menopause, likely)...I'm going back!!! LOL
I don't really come in contact with many "good" coffees. I do have some though and have decided that I can have ONE CUP on special occasions...after a while. Like my BIL sent me some Major Dickeson's from California...I rarely drink it anyway, because it's a gourmet coffee. And then the coffee that came with my Beetle cookie cutter. I'm saving them for a special occasion!

Whole bean coffee is one luxury I'll go to great lengths to keep. True, it's quite a bit more expensive, but the local grocery store will have 8 O'Clock coffee (which is not the greatest but still pretty good) for three dollars a bag a lot of times. Since it's just me...it lasts me awhile.
Also got some from TJ Max - REALLY fancy stuff.
I can go without meat...but not good coffee. ;-)
