Chatty today, aren't we precious.
Well, I supposed the benefit would be that it's over quicker. ;-)
It's just a personal preference. I don't "get" the attraction to anime. I'm happy to leave it to those of you who do.
Hey, my older brother sent me a birthday card with a duck wrapped in toilet paper on it, says "I couldn't forget to thend you a birthday card...I don't want to end up on your thit list."
Ha ha ha!!!
Had a coupon for a free turkey in it...says "Happy Holidays!" ROFLOL!!
I love it. It's funny and I could really use the coupon!
I wasn't really talking about politics, I was talking about the attitude of English professors I've dealt with to think that liberalism = intelligence, and grade accordingly. I had a history teacher who was a major lib, but she respected other peoples' views. Since I could defend mine and state mine adequately, she liked me. It was one of the best fluff classes I ever had. But those professors are the exception, not the rule, today.
Also I absorbed a great deal of the "hard science undergraduate" attitude of "we have to take these easy classes, because they're required, and we have to put up with arrogant professors who will downgrade us for any of our opinions, but in a few years we'll be succesful and this won't matter". But it hurts so much to spend time and money on a class where you get your views torn apart or ridiculed.
That's what I love about it. Easy to take a break in the middle of homework, watch one episode, and then go back.
Then again, it's like potato chips - you can't eat just one...
All good and fine Jen. I am sure that has been your experience.
But you made an over-generalization. All I am saying is that you're painting with too broad a brush.
Or, like at ShootMoot, you can't blast a hole in just one...
Hmm. I didn't think I was implying that every who studies English is a no-good lousy liberal commie sympathizer; I just meant that all the ones at my undergraduate school seemed to be so, so I wouldn't have wanted to spend time around them to get a degree in that field...
I think it's been covered... I get ya both.
More importantly.... There are rapid and wacky new developments in the Michael Jackson Carnival.
What's up? The live thread is too ponderous and crazy to follow...
Even the best writer needs an editor. ;-)
I'd say let's call a truce and stop beating a dead horse, but Hair would whack us with a stick...
I may anyway :~D
He was missing from court when it was supposed to start so the judge issued a warrant for his arrest if he didn't show up within the hour... his attorneys were having very hectic conversations on cell phones, MJ was apparently in a hospital an hour away, claiming back pain or some other 'distress'. Somehow they convinced him to get in the car and come to court, but he missed the deadline and showed up wearing hospital pajamas and looking really stoned. Not sure what's happening now, no cameras in courtroom. They may revoke his bail for pulling this stunt, if the judge holds true to his threat.
It was fabulous theater.
Heh...which is probably exactly what he was going for.
Maybe.
If he even knows WHAT he's doing anymore.
That's a good Corin!
I think he's a spoiled child in every way. I don't see him in jail... I imagine when he really sees no way out of this, he'll kill himself.
Heh...I just got a brochure for a seminar entitled "The Essentials of Communicating with Tact and Finesse."
Reckon I should sign up?
